The grass in Chimborazo Park needs to be cut. This in the city of Richmond portion of the park. The national park service has cut their part.

The grass and weeds behind the vacant house at 3111 E. Broad Street is 12 or more inches deep. this house continues to be a neighborhood nuisance as the owner does not seem to care about this house. The outside is in terrible condition and the owner is a number of years behind in the payment of real estate taxes.

I know the city code enforcement inspectors have on numerous occasions sent in reports on this house but nothing ever happens.

The city posted a notice of violations on this house just after January 1, 2015. The owner has seen this letter as it was removed by him.

There is no decking on the front deck and the structural members of the deck are badly rotted. There is a lot of woodwork on this house with no paint on it. The brick pilings holding up the deck is just a pile of bricks with no mortar.

There is an open hole in the brickwork under the front deck that I am sure animals are going into this house.

On top of all this, the owner of this house is $3800 behind in the payment of real estate taxes.

Come on City of Richmond, let’s do something about this house. Suggest that it go to auction for collection of the taxes.

3111 East Broad Street continues to be a blight on our neighborhood. I have complained numerous times about this property but the city seems powerless to do anything about it. There are many code violations on this property.

The deck in the front has no decking and the structural members are hanging on by a very small amount of material. The brick foundations for the deck is just a pile of bricks with no mortar holding them together.

Under the deck is an opening to the crawl space that I am sure is being used by animals to get into this house.

There is very little paint on any of the woodwork.

The back yard is starting to be overgrown now that spring is arriving.

The city posted a notice of violations just after January 1, 2015 and the owner has seen it since he removed it from the front door. I am not sure why the city is taking so long to do anything about this deadbeat owner as I checked with the city and also found that this property is $3800 behind for real estate property taxes. I asked what was being done about this and was told that it is with collections. How about it City of Richmond, it's time to put this property up for tax sale so that someone who will do something with this house will buy it.

I know the city code enforcement inspectors have been dealing with the owner of this property for a number of years and all the owner does is promise that they are going to do something about this property, they work on It for a couple of days and then you never see anything done for months.

The city posted a notice of violations on this house just after January 1 2015. Nothing has been done to correct any of the violations.

There is construction junk all over the front deck. The deck posts have been removed and replaced with a 4x4s. The carpentry that has been done on the upper portion of the deck looks like something you would seer in a tree house. There is also a lot of unpainted woodwork. There is also a cut down tree laying in the front yard.

I have also seen the owner moving things in and out of this house. As close as I can tell it is just being used as a storage unit.

How about it City of Richmond, let's do something about this deadbeat owner. It is obvious the owner has no intention of doing anything constructive with this house.

The work that was done on the front porch was done by numerous contractors who I doubt are licensed. I also never saw a building permit so I am sure there was never a city inspection.There is also a lot of woodwork that does not have paint on it.

There is also a window upstairs in the front (far left window) that is unsecured and partially open to the outside. The upstairs windows are also just about to fall out of the brick work they are in such bad shape. There is no paint anywhere on the woodwork of this house.

The weeds and grass in front and behind 3103 E. Broad street are becoming overgrown. This house also needs to be added to the city's list of vacant houses. It has been vacant for about a year after the owner died.

The area along the outer perimeter of Chimborazo park is getting so overgrown that the overlook on the perimeter of the park will no longer be an overlook as the weeds and weed trees will block the view.

There is a pile of construction debris in the alley behind 3111 E. Broad Street. This construction debris is from work done on the front porch of 3113 E. Broad Street. this issue has been reported before about a month ago but nothing has been done to correct this situation.
