    Under the pipeline overlook a homeless person set up camp and has abandoned blankets, trash and suitcases. This is in one of the alcoves under the pipeline overlook.

    The barricade that kept this closed up has been torn away.

    Someone dumped about 8 tires on the river side of the floodwall last night. They are right next to the man door opening in the floodwall near the pipeline overlook.

    Trash continues to be dumped in the adjoining parking lot. When can a trash can be placed in this area?

    At the west end of the floodwall at 11th Street and adjacent to the pipeline overlook, the residents of the area did a clean up 3 weeks ago. We collected 15 bags of trash, tires and furniture.

    Since then, we have picked up 1-2 garbage bags a week of trash as there are no trash cans in the parking area next to the Pipeline Overlook.

    Could we get two trashcans (any kind...we are desperate) placed over in this area? While we are in a special tax district (Actually "3" special ones for us at Riverside on the James), we do not get the services of the guys in yellow shirts who probably should be policing this area.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    On the riverside of the floodwall, furniture was dumped near the pipeline overlook. Also, this area is being used for illegal parking with lots of trash being dumped. We could use a trashcan near the paved parking area at the overlook and a barrier to stop the illegal parking.

    Just west of the floodwall gates, at the Pipeline Overlook parking area, the grade has been built up with gravel to the point a decent sized pond of water is in this location most of the time. Now that it has frozen, it is creating treacherous conditions for pedestrians and cars as the cars have a hard time stopping on the ice. A small drainage swale needs to be provided to let this drain to the spillway next to the old power plant.
