3111 East Broad Street continues to be a blight on our neighborhood.

I know the city code enforcement inspectors have on numerous occasions sent in reports on this house but nothing ever happens.

The city posted a notice of violations on this house just after January 1, 2015. The owner has seen this letter as it was removed by him.

There is no decking on the front deck and the structural members of the deck are badly rotted. There is a lot of woodwork on this house with no paint on it. The brick pilings holding up the deck is just a pile of bricks with no mortar.

There is an open hole in the brickwork under the front deck that I am sure animals are going into this house.

On top of all this, the owner of this house is $3800 behind in the payment of real estate taxes.

Come on City of Richmond, let’s do something about this house. Suggest that it go to auction for collection of the taxes.

An answer on what is being done is requested by the neighbors of this property.

The code enforcement officer needs to look a little closer as at the front of the house under the deck (can be seen easily as there are no deck boards) there is an opening about 12x18 inches into the crawl space that I am sure animals are going in and out through. When is the city going to do something about this property. The front of the house is a total wreck. This is the worst looking house on broad street from 18th street through 36th street.
